CCOP Annual Thanksgiving 2015 (Day 3 – Adult)

Every end of the year it is a tradition of City Church Of Praise-CCOP, Inc. (CCOP) to have a give annual thanksgiving to our living God because of His never ending and never fading grace. For the whole year He provided us everything we need and help us every time we are in trouble. So He is worthy of our heartfelt thanksgiving.
CCOP congregations were preparing for this annual thanksgiving for the whole year. Most of the congregations gave pledges from January to December in different amount for the expenses needed in the annual thanksgiving. This shows how CCOP seriously acknowledge the greatness of our Lord and Savior. The congregations understand that apart from God we are nothing and everything is coming from our God, thus He is worthy to receive our thanksgiving.

This year, City Church Of Praise 3-day annual thanksgiving was held on December 21-23. December 21 was a joint thanksgiving for children lead by Kingdom Kids Club (Feeding) Ministry and CCOP Children Ministry. December 22 was a joint thanksgiving for young people and young adult and December 23 was attended by adult congregations. It was a 3-day thanksgiving due to the venue capacity limitation.

CCOP annual thanksgiving for adult was started by welcoming our guest and visitors and then opening prayer; this was followed by praise and worship and then followed by introducing our guest speaker.

Our theme for this year’s annual thanksgiving is Psalm 105:1 “Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness”. Our guest speaker for the joint adult thanksgiving is Bishop Danilo Bantilan B.Th, M.Div, MGL, Th.D, DRE, Founding President, Asian Revival College Of Theology, Inc. From his message, he emphasized why it is very important to give thanks to our Lord and how importance is proclaiming God’s greatness. He also stresses that it is our God’s desire and will that His people will give thanks to him.

During our annual thanksgiving, a plaque of appreciation was also given to our partners in ministry who help us to reach out the community. A plaque of appreciation was given to LTC Anthon G Abrina CAV (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion for his continual support in our ministry in Military through CMAG and in giving us transportation assistance in our community services. Mr. Rebecco H. Omlero MA – School Principal Tomas Cabili High School Annex and Ms. Marilyn S. Cajeta, School Principal, Villa Verde Elementary School were given a plaque of appreciation for allowing us to used their school classroom and facilities in out feeding ministry. Other recipients were Judy Bentoy GK Head, Bayanihan Village, Sta. Elena Iligan City, Bishop Danilo Bantilan B.Th, M.Div, MGL, Th.D, DRE, Pastor Christopher Legaspi Youth Thanks Giving Guest Speaker and Teacher Nenisa R. Gaid Chairman – CCOP Children Ministry.
